Samsung will manufacture most of its products in Pakistan

The chairman of WakTECH Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan revealed that the biggest South Korean Electronics Company Samsung has decided to manufacture most of its products in Pakistan. He told Business Recorder in an exclusive interview that this decision has been taken in collaboration with its Pakistani Partner WAKTECH. WAKTECH and Samsung will jointly manufacture a wide array of electronic gadgets and smart phones with the utilization of advanced technology.

He added that the major plant of Samsung-WAKTECH is under construction whose foundation was laid on 16th October. The vice president of Samsung Koo Choi attended the ground breaking ceremony of Samsung and WAKTECH plant. It was told that production of major appliances and products will be operational by February 2017. After China, Pakistan is the second country to manufacture all products of Samsung under the franchise. Besides manufacturing the products, Samsung will also be the part of research and development agreement of WAKTECH.

According the chairman of WAKGroup, there are more than five hundred Samsung smart phone dealers in Pakistan who deal in the distribution of Samsung of China. He states that with collaboration of WAKTECH we’ll have complete technology from South Korea. We’ll not only market our products in Pakistan but also export them to Middle East Countries.

It is quite obvious that Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan is looking to establish a long term relationship with the Samsung. His efforts are not merely limited to production and marketing of electronic products but he also aims to establish biggest oil refinery for which he will be exchanging ideas with China, South Korea and other countries.

This collaboration of two dynamic companies will open doors of opportunities for locals as well as at international level. This joint venture will not only give a boost to technological advancement but also bring employment opportunities to the people.
